At Rectory CE Primary School, our ASC Specialist Provision offers three curriculum pathways and personalised plans for all children. Our pupils thrive in a carefully designed environment that celebrates their individual strengths and needs, with a strong focus on communication and independence.

We are proud of the expertise and skills of our staff and believe that sharing this knowledge with the wider educational community can benefit as many young people with SEND in St. Helens as possible.

Our outreach work provides opportunities for educational professionals to collaborate, remove barriers to learning, and build capacity within schools. By sharing skills, knowledge, and understanding, we aim to create sustainable, integrated, and inclusive provision for young people with SEND.

Research shows that outreach is most effective when there is a clear focus on capacity building, with our team working closely with school staff to develop confidence, knowledge, and expertise.

It is important to note that our outreach work is not a remedial intervention, a step in the EHCP process, or a pathway to specialist placement. Its purpose is to ensure that schools have the knowledge, understanding, and confidence to meet the diverse needs of their learners effectively.
