We’re excited to be working with Chance to Shine, a national charity that uses cricket to inspire children and teach valuable life lessons. Through fun, inclusive sessions led by trained coaches, our pupils are learning more than just how to bat and bowl—they’re learning how to work together, stay active, and believe in themselves.

🌟 What Is Chance to Shine?

Chance to Shine brings cricket to over 4,000 state primary schools across the UK each year. Their mission is to give every child the opportunity to play, learn, and grow through cricket—especially those who might not otherwise have access to the sport.

🧠 More Than Just a Game

The programme is designed to develop:

  • Physical skills: hand-eye coordination, agility, and fitness

  • Mental wellbeing: resilience, focus, and confidence

  • Social skills: communication, leadership, and teamwork

At Rectory, we’ve seen how these sessions help children grow in confidence, try something new, and support one another on and off the pitch.
