ASC Outreach Offer
Outreach by Rectory

At The Orchard, our specialist SEND provision offers personalised learning pathways and individual plans for all children. Our pupils thrive in a new and carefully designed environment that celebrates their unique strengths and needs, with a strong focus on communication, independence, and wellbeing.
We are proud of the specialist expertise of our staff and believe that sharing this knowledge with the wider educational community can benefit as many young people with SEND in St. Helens as possible.
Our outreach work provides opportunities for schools to collaborate, remove barriers to learning, and build capacity. By sharing skills, knowledge, and understanding, we aim to create sustainable, inclusive, and integrated provision for young people with SEND.
Research shows that outreach is most effective when there is a clear focus on capacity building, with our team working closely with school staff to develop confidence, knowledge, and expertise in supporting SEND learners.
It is important to note that our outreach work is not a remedial intervention, a step in the EHCP process, or a pathway to specialist placement. Its purpose is to ensure that schools have the knowledge, understanding, and confidence to meet the diverse needs of their learners effectively.
