Woodland is the mainstream provision at Rectory CE Primary School, offering high-quality education from Nursery through to Year 6. As a one-form entry school, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child is known, valued, and supported to achieve their full potential.

Our dedicated staff foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, and care—ensuring that all pupils feel safe, inspired, and empowered to thrive both academically and personally. At Woodland, we celebrate individuality and work in partnership with families to build strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Our Vision
At Woodland, our vision is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and nurturing learning community where every child is empowered to thrive. We believe that all children—regardless of background, ability, or need—deserve an education that inspires curiosity, builds resilience, and unlocks their full potential.

We place strong emphasis on building meaningful connections—between pupils, staff, families, and the wider community. Our relational approach underpins everything we do, fostering trust, empathy, and emotional wellbeing. Through positive relationships and a deep understanding of each child, we create a safe and supportive environment where learning can flourish.

Our Curriculum
At Woodland, our mainstream provision at Rectory CE Primary School, we deliver a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that inspires curiosity, creativity, and achievement. Our curriculum is carefully sequenced to build knowledge and skills over time, ensuring that all pupils—regardless of background or need—are supported to reach their full potential.

We follow the National Curriculum, enriched with opportunities such as Forest School, personal development, and cultural experiences that deepen learning and broaden horizons. Teaching is inclusive and adaptive, with high expectations and a strong focus on core subjects, creativity, and character development.

Our School Community
As a one-form entry school, Woodland offers a warm and welcoming environment where every child is truly known, understood, and valued. Our dedicated staff team work in close partnership with families to create a nurturing and inclusive community that supports academic success and personal growth.

Growing Together
At Woodland, we grow together—nurturing a vibrant community where individuality is celebrated, resilience is cultivated, and every child is empowered to embrace the next stage of their journey with confidence, pride, and a deep sense of belonging.
