Our pupils had the exciting opportunity to take part in capoeira workshops — a vibrant blend of martial arts, dance, and music with deep roots in Afro-Brazilian culture.

What is Capoeira?

Capoeira is a unique art form that combines rhythmic movement, acrobatics, and percussion. Originating in Brazil, it was developed by enslaved Africans as a form of cultural resistance and expression. Today, it’s celebrated worldwide for its energy, creativity, and community spirit.

A Day of Rhythm and Motion

Led by experienced capoeiristas, our workshops introduced pupils to the basic movements, kicks, and flowing sequences of capoeira. They learned to move in harmony with the music, respond to their partners, and express themselves through dynamic motion.
