Elm and Rowan classes were thrilled to be invited to the BASH (Books and Stories at Home) celebration β€” a fantastic event that brought stories to life and inspired our young readers.

Each class received five exciting new books to read, explore, and enjoy. With support from the wonderful team at St Helens Libraries, pupils took part in lively discussions and activities that deepened their understanding and appreciation of each story. After reading all five, the children voted for their favourite β€” building anticipation for the big reveal!

The celebration event was a highlight of the term. Pupils from both classes attended to discover which book had won the vote, and the excitement didn’t stop there β€” they also had the chance to meet the author Dan Worsley in person! Dan shared his journey as a writer, answered questions, and inspired our budding storytellers with his passion and energy.

We’re incredibly proud to offer our children these enriching experiences. Events like BASH not only promote a love of reading but also spark creativity and confidence in our future authors.
